Participation at Jurong Harmony Day Earth Hour Event

Our Scouts led the residents in doing a campfire dance, by first demonstrating the dance's moves to them on the stage.The Earth Hour segment is part of the Jurong Harmony Day programme.


Lights were dimmed at around 730h for the Earth Hour segment.

Junior Environment Ambassador (JEA) Training Camp on 20 March 2013

11 Green Club members attended the JEA Training Camp conducted by WOW Kampung on behalf of South West CDC and NEA at Nan Hua High School.



Learning Outcomes:

1.Students have a better understanding of the 5 Green Schools Modules and the expectations of their roles as JEAs.

2.Students have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities in executing the Green Schools Modules.

3.Students have a basic understanding of creative and effective communication skills suitable for environmental outreach.

4. Students have a sense of ownership and responsibility towards the environment and feel empowered to make a positive impact as leaders.













Green Schools @ South West GOLD Award 2013

Our school was awarded the GOLD Award for our participation in the Green Schools@ Southwest Programme organised by Southwest CDC.

Our 2nd Gold Award for Green Schools @ South West


Hong Kah received the Gold Award for its Green Efforts in the Green Schools@Southwest programme organised by Southwest CDC and NEA. Krishman Fung Ji Yu and Rudi Santosa Tan , the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Green Club respectively, are seen receiving the award from the Guest of Honour, Mr Tiew Chew Meng, Chairman of Sustainable Environment Functional Committee South West Community Development Council. They were featured in the August 2013 edition of Hong Kah Link.

NEA Environment Champion Industrial Module @ Panasonic

NEA Life Seashore Programme at East Coast Park Beach

The programme aims to instil in our 2 classes of Sec 1 E & 3 classes of 1 NA 
pupils an awareness of environmental issurs and conservation efforts.

On March 8 2013, an appreciation plaque was presented to our school for our support during the South West Clean & Green Carnival on 10 November 2012 at the West Coast Plaza. .
