ENERGY PATROL
Our Green Club members conducted the first energy patrol around the classroom blocks and computer laboratories on week 5 in August and did the second energy patrol on week 4 of September.

ENERGY EFFICIENT POSTERS
Energy efficient posters were pasted around the school to get the school to use energy efficiently.

Green Schools@South West 4R Recycling module - Newspaper & Old Clothing Collection Drive

3N2 class did a newspaper-and-old-clothes-collection drive to save the Earth by reducing waste generation.

Distributing flyers to the residents to inform them about our collection drive.

Green Competition 2013 jointly organised by NP and BCA

Our pupils participated in the Green Competition 2013 organised by Ngee Ann Polytechnic on 9 Sept 2013.

The theme is MyDreamHouse and the focus is on the use of sustainable materials to construct the dream eco house. It is to convey the message of practising sustainability from the design to the construction of a home.

On 6 Aug 2012, 6 of our pupils conducted the Survey For My Eatery Shine@South West at 利发兴 coffee shop.

利发兴 coffee shop at Blk 496 Jurong West St 41.

NEA Quiz 2013

3 of our pupils participated in the NEA quiz organised by Nan Hua High School on 27 July 2013.

The students are Natasha, Siti and Sharul.

Exhibition on animal cruelty and illegal wildlife trading by RI students @HKSS on 24 July 2013

Pupils from Raffles Institution held an exhibition at our school to educate pupils on animal cruelty and illegal wildlife trading.
The exhibition was part of the students' Research Education-Service Learning programme in collaboration with Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (ACRES). Our school provided the platform for the students to be social advocates for animal rights.

Green Competition Briefing at Ngee Ann Polytechnic on 20 July 2013

Teh Ru Qi and Shazwanie Tasha attended a briefing by BCA on Green Mark and Green initiatives at Ngee Ann Polytechnic in preparation for their participation at Green Competition 2013.

Green Schools @ South West 4R Recycling Module - Flea Market by ICONs

The ICONs (student leaders) held a flea market during the lower secondary recess on 18 July.

The aims are to teach entrepreneurship skills, to do a part for the Earth and also to let pupils have a feel of what it is like to set up their own business. Proceeds from the sale went to the Financial Assistance Fund to support the needy pupils in the school.
